The Red Tape Recorder has been eliminated. It lost with 120 votes against it. 

Despite receiving more votes than every other weapon combined, the Recorder does have a fairly sizable group of people that defend it. It's definitely Spy's worst weapon, but not necessarily completely useless. As an Engineer main, I think playing against the Recorder is far easier, but way more annoying. If all of your buildings get sapped with the Recorder, it's almost guaranteed that some of them will be lowered 1 or 2 levels, even if you are by them when they get sapped. However, unless someone else comes along to finish them, it is unlikely that any will actually get destroyed. You will probably be able to die, respawn and walk back to your buildings before the Recorder can destroy even one of them. This is ultimately what makes it bad, having your buildings reverted to level 1s is always going to be better then having them destroyed. 

Oh, and it's pretty good against the Gunslinger. Its slow destroy time forces the Engineer to either commit to their current mini, or wait for it to die and make a new one.
