With cerulean city finished, I finally walked down pas the daycare! There were some Meowth in the grass, but I didn't have room for one in my team, and there was nothing else new, so I kept going. I'm ready to travel through the first underground path, and travel to Vermillion City! In the building leading to the path, an NPC is asking for a Nidoran♂ in exachange for a Nidoran♀. This NPC always confused me; Nidoran♀ is the easier of the two to find in Blue! Maybe it makes more sense in red? Or maybe they just want to get the rarer one for cheap? Who knows X3

I used to have some of the secret items in the underground tunnels memorized! I've obviously forgotten that now X3 Tried spamming A as I passed through, but found nothing! I guess I'll have to come back with the item finder! Came out the other side into the route above Vermillion city! It's a very memorable route for me; it has lots of Meowth, some very funny and memorable trainers, and most importantly of all, a trainer fly/Mew glitch trainer! There's also a pointless area with flowers in the top left, which has a hidden berry in Fire Red/Leaf Green! I'm gonna be careful to avoid most of the trainers, so I can save the Trainer Fly glitch trainer for the post game :3

Had to fight the two trainers at the bottom of the map. I got a bit careless, and a raticate knocked out Veridee ;w; Raticates are not to be underestimated, they are very powerful! I entered Vermillion City, and took Veridee to the Pokemon Center! They're okay now :3 Afterwards, I checked out the house next door, and found the first fishing guru! I now have an Old Rod! I'm pretty sure it's only good for catching magikarp though (which I've already avoided getting; I've owned WAY too many Gyarados, I haven't used any of the other kanto water types), so I guess I'll save it for switch training or something...

In another house, I found the trainer who trades you a Farfetch'd! They only wanted a Spearow for it too! I jumped on the deal and traded Bearbi, the Spearow I caught a few raffles ago! I'm now the proud owner of DUX! I've never used a Farfetch'd before; I might end up trying them out as my flying type :3 Also went to the Pokemon fanclub and got the bike voucher! Definitely going to cash that in ASAP!

On the way back to the bike shop, I looked up how good Farfetch'd is compared to Butterfree; turns out, butterfree actually has much better stats! And I know butterfree has a great moveset, AND is going to struggle in the late game... So I guess DUX isn't going to be a good pick for a teammate unfortunately... Maybe they'll be better in gen 2, when the stick item is added :3 On the bright side, I have the bike now, so I can finally listen to that happy music for the first time in way too long ^w^
