Daily Topic #359

Today's topic question is: If you could be famous for one thing, what would it be?

For me, I would say probably famous for discovering the nearest habitable planet. With the global population predicted to reach an overpopulation of 11 billion by around 2100, the Earth reaching the global warming threshold as possibly soon as 2027 due to the constant rise in global temperatures by carbon dioxide emissions making climate change damage irreversible and many of the world's natural resources predicted to run out within 20 years, I think it's safe to say that we might need to find another habitable planet sometime soon as these problems are unlikely to be solved any time soon. Not only could such a historic discovery help with some of the biggest world problems, but it could also help solve one of the biggest mysteries ever, if we really are alone in this universe or not, or at least help bring scientists much closer to solving that mystery, depending on whether or not the planet is also inhabited.
