- I hope I'm done...
I hope I'm done...
Hey there.
When I was 6 years old, I got into gaming thorugh a couple nintendo games like pokemon, pc games like hugo titanium and frogger.
Over the years, I started to spend more and more time in front of my monitor. I got into WoW, into TF2-Trading (i was and still am horrible at that^^) Overall, I must have played over 100 games. My entire social life was bound to gaming. there was nothing else I did, and I had nothing else to connect over with people. If I found something I was interested in. I would have to do it alone. When i was 14, I started to recognize the negatives of gaming.
I tried to reduce it - never happened.
I tried to quit alltogether - happened once for a few months, then never again.
I tried replacing games with things just as fun and interesting to me - games always won these little competitions for my attention.
The past few years I was more and more frequently in a situation where I would sit at my desk gaming, even though I hated it. I couldn't get away.
My back is permanently damaged from sitting too much and moving too little, I feel enstrangement towards any person I meet. My eyes are pretty bad as well, as a kid I had absolutely perfect vision though.
It has been nine years since I started fighting against this addiction.
Today I am taking the so far biggest step. I am deleting my Steam-Account, every game on it, my BattleNet-Account, my GameForge-Account and anything else I can find.
In this raffle I am giving away the few items left from my time in TF2, may they bring you some joy.
Tomorrow my active auctions will close and those items will be available again. I will make a little follow-up raffle with some steam-cards as well.
Even though I met some very nice people within this community, I hope we'll never meet again - at least not this way ;D
Take care.
I hope I'm out for good.
bb,
Brangho
