Weapons Ideas: A Shield For Demoman

Hello, ladies, gentlemen, and helicopters! I had some weapon ideas and sketches to share with you guys, but I don't want anyone stealing my sketches. Therefore, I found some weapons on TF2's Workshop that fit my ideas. This one will be using the BOOMsday Calendar!

Stats:
On kill with any weapon (including the shield itself): Gain 0.5 seconds charge time and lose 25% turning control.*
+20% explosive damage resistance
+20% bullet resistance (since no other shields have bullet resistance)
Alt-Fire: Charge towards your enemies and remove debuffs
Gain a critical melee strike after impacting an enemy.

*This caps out at 4 kills, meaning you can have up to +2 seconds charge time and -100% (basically zero) turn control. Unless, you know, you combine it with some boots. Starts with the standard turning control of a Chargin Targe/Splendid Screen.

Turn control isn't really THAT important. During the time between when you swing your sword and the time when the sword hits, you have a moment where you can rotate without the reduced turn of the shield. I might be better if you removed some resistances from it and made it always have -100% turn control.

kirby gamez I didn't know the remove debuff was a passive effect on shields. Also, if you're charging straight for a sentry, then you are probably playing demoknight wrong. Splendid Screen and Chargin targe have negligible turning anyways, so if they wanted to turn they could just use Tide Turner

Khaltek But every other shield has a remove debuff on charge effect. And not being able to stop charging seems brutal, like "Oh, crap! I'm heading straight for a sentry and can't turn around!" Plus, I don't think people would use a Grenade launcher with this if they value their turn control, they'd use the booties.

The on kill with any weapon should probably be removed, since it's relatively easy to get 4 kills with your nade launcher then just whip out your sword and start killing people. I would also remove the "removes debuff" option since it would seem pretty random for shield to have that. I would add +5% charge speed on a kill, and it would cap out on 20%. On a charge, it will do only mini-crit strikes and the charge cannot be stopped or slowed for any reason. That would mean the player would not be able to stop charging, and things like Sentry knockback wouldn't slow down the charge or change it's direction. I would keep the turning speed penalty though.

what about this : 10% bullet resintance 10% fire resintance 10% bullet recistance , on kill gain a speed buff of 50% for 2 seconds and 2 seconds of minicrits , can be stopped if you get hurt at the midle of a charge

Great and interesting ideas :) The shield sounds balanced, but I'd tone the bullet resistance down to something like 15%. Keep up the good ideas

I don't know if it's overpowered or underpowered. I guess you would just have to test it in game. I also feel DEMOman needs more weapons for DEMOLITIONS as he has more weapons for demoknighting than just DEMOman.
