My pet guinea pig (named Mario) is sick. He hasn't been eating and he's lost a lot of weight.
I took him into the vet 2 weeks ago, they gave him some medicine, which helped a bit. I took him in again yesterday, and he'd lost weight (was 1.2 at first visit, now 0.9-ish kg). I was told to bring him again today, and he'd lost a bit more. They will be taking an x-ray and a blood test tomorrow. The vets said the sedative can be a bit harmful to prey animals (animals at the bottom of the food chain, like guinea pigs), small animals (like guinea pigs) and sick animals (like my guinea pig).
