Yesterday I finished Pokémon Sapphire, it was the first time I played a main Pokémon game in over a decade, it was also the first time I played one from start to finish, and the first time I beat the Elite 4 and Champion.

Of course, I was also looking for shinies throughout the game, and here's the result of that:

Shinies 1 - Starters, exclusives and then just random shinies.
Shinies 2 - Some more random shinies, rare/uncommon encounter shinies, Static/Stationary shinies and of course, Legendary shinies.

*If you'd like to suggest nicknames for one or more of them, feel free to do so.

And now some stats:

HoF Team
Pokémon Caught: 69 Normal - 60 Shinies
First Shiny Starter: Treecko
First Wild Shiny: Plusle
Luckiest Shiny: Spheal. Less than 10 encounters in Shoal Cave (Ice Room), wasn't even looking for a shiny there. A new personal record that probably won't be beaten for a while.
Hardest Shiny: Chimecho. Proved to be quite a rare encounter, out of every 10 encounters, I was lucky if even 1 was a Chimecho, sometimes it even took up to 30 encounters for a single Chimecho.
Last Shiny: Latias. Self-explanatory. If you're not familiar though, in the post-game Latias (or Latios in Ruby) roams around the region and can show up anywhere, you can't really know where it is nor where it will be next, it's all about trial and error.
And once you encounter her, you need a couple of specific Pokémon because she'll Flee on the first turn, and then you will not be able to encounter her again due to a bug.


Anyways, all in all, it was really fun. Next one will probably be FireRed
