Previous raffle

Well that wasn't supposed to happen. Didn't get many suggestions for the Hellion from the comments (which left me a total of only three possible competitors), so I had to turn to the chat for some help. Let's see if we can avoid making that black magic happen twice

Character #11: The Arbalest*
As a character: as a child, she was forced into a rough, rugged life. Her father had drawn the ire of an angry mob. Before the mob surrounded him in his home, he sent her off with only a crossbow to survive in the woods, taking away her stuffed rabbit in the process. It's implied that considering all four of her "costumes" leave her with darker skin, it was a race issue with her and her family

As a fighter: with her crossbow, she stands out as THE character who can fully take advantage of targets afflicted with the "mark" debuff, as she deals extra damage that comes with the added chance of dealing critical hits with her basic attack. Alternatively, she can rain arrows down on the back ranks to give them accuracy debuffs, fire off bolas that force frontline enemies back, or act as a secondary healer. Unfortunately, she does not fare well against enemies when she is forced to the front ranks, where she can only fire off inaccurate shots, or fire off flares to raise light levels and remove stuns & marked effects from her teammates. At camp, she can become the team doctor, or take the time to restring her crossbow to improve its firing power

Suggestions: Lopunny is probably what resembles her stuffed rabbit that I mentioned from her childhood earlier. Kingdra had a competitive history of abusing crits at one point in time. And I'm hoping I don't have to mention a certain 7th gen owl...

*There is a reskin of this character, the Musketeer, who functions in combat very similarly, which is why I'm not including her in this series. For everyone who doesn't know the game too well, her backstory is that she lost a shooting competition because she saw a haunting vision of the final boss in her target, causing her to miss her championship-winning shot. Not as compelling as everyone else's stories, and not really worth another round of creating a team for her
