Telling you the first 3 letters tells you how to solve it. You look along the line for the first instance of "p", then "i", then "k". You should have noticed that "p" first started as the 3rd letter, then as you pass over a capital letter heading to the next instance of "i" you see it was 4 spots away from the previous "p". Continuing on, looking for the next instance of "k", you once again pass over another capital and see that "k" is 5 spaces away from "i". Thus you should have concluded that every time your counting passed over a capital you should add 1 to the count.
