Pride posting³ Day #3 🏳‍🌈:paint_a_rainbow:

We kick off pride this month with Marsha. P. Johnson! I'm not the best at teaching (or studying) but i'll do my best to highlight the best i can about each person this month! :gaypride: Marsha was a Transgender Drag queen who helped lead multiple protests in the united states during the late 60s/70s. She was also a founder of the Gay Liberation Front and STAR, which were founded almost immediately after the stonewall riot. Marsha helped start the STAR house in 1970, which was a shelter for homeless LGBT youth Marsha worked to pay for their food and clothing and would give emotional support to the children who lived there. They were evicted in 1971 and the original home was demolished, but they moved to a new house in a different location, and did this a few times over the years. Marsha was also an AIDS activist, advocating for the viruses awareness and to raise money for research. She was a member of ACT UP. And was committed to supporting those with the virus, including sitting by the dying's bedsides to keep them company.
