Miiverse? Dead.
Smash 4? Obsolete.
Mario Maker? Soon to be.
Reasons to use the Wii U still (after SMM2)? None.

This summer has basically turned into counting down the days until Super Mario Maker 2 comes out. What have I been doing to keep busy? I have my neighbor come over each day and play Smash Ultimate for an hour. Sometimes it's a no-show. I got some other games to play.

The Wii U still has one function in its last days: Sketching levels for Super Mario Maker 2. What better way to do that than with the original game? Sure, vertical levels are a problem, and tons of functions are missing, so there will have to be workarounds and placeholders. Once the bigger and better Mario Maker comes out, I'll still have to turn on this poor console one last time to "trace" my levels.

So long, Wii U. You had some good games, and lots of wasted potential. You will be missed.

Except by Nintendo, who erased basically any trace of the Wii U from their site except for eShop stuff.
