Scrappy Stuff #6 - BBCode on Scrap.TF

Want to know how to use text formatting such as bold, underline, or font color? Scrap.TF allows you to use BBCode in places such as your profile page, raffles, and poll comments (Note: BBCode does not work in Poll questions and answers). Not all BBCode functions work on Scrap.TF, but I'll show you the ones I know work.

BBCode works similar to HTML but you need to use brackets [] instead of < >. Each BBCode function you use needs to have an opening and closing tag. Each opening tag consists of a BBCode function inside brackets like this: [function]. Each closing tag consists of a BBCode function with / in front of it (no spaces) and inside brackets like this: [/function]. You can test and adjust how your BBCode will look in raffle creation by using the Edit option (See Raffle creation preview and editing in this raffle: https://scrap.tf/raffles/J19WZP )
For the rest of this description I will use curly brackets {} instead of regular brackets [] for my examples. This is so you can see what the format should look like. If you want to use BBCode you will need to use regular brackets [].

{b}Bold{/b}
{i}Italics{/i}
{u}Underline{/u}
{s}Strikethrough{/s}
{color=#ff0000}Colored{/color} The color function requires a 6 character hexadecimal number. See the last paragraph in this raffle for info on finding a hexadecimal number for the color(s) you want.
{url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gDPJSUdvG8}This text is a link you can click on{/url} This function won't work with URLs that are not whitelisted on Scrap.TF.
You can combine functions like this {color=#ff0000}{b}{i}{u}Colored Bold Italics and Underline{/b}{/i}{/u}{/color}
{img}http://i.imgur.com/jC2BNJB.gif{/img} As far as I know the image function only works in the comments on profile pages (except for Scrap.TF staff who can use it in raffles).

This is a good website for figuring out the hexadecimal number you want to use for coloring text: http://www.w3schools.com/colors/colors_picker.asp
You can choose and adjust colors here. Just under the "Selected Color" example you can see the hexadecimal # for the color. One of the options for choosing a color is by clicking on the bar just under where it says "Or Use HTML5." You can then experiment with finding a color you like with the color tool that comes up.
