Our next boss...
Prowling Magus and Congregation

I know I said Royal Rat Authority was the worst boss in the game, but this is up there. The Magus was an evil warlock from Aldia's Keep who partook in forbidden rituals, infecting his body and mind with dark magic. The Magus leads a small congregation of Hollows within a chapel in the remnants of Brightstone Cove after it was overrun by spiders. The Hollows act as puppets to the Magus' will, and may be under the influence of the warlock's powers. Seems like it would be an interesting fight but... this is Dark Souls 2. This boss is nothing but a bunch of generic mob enemies in a small room with health bars. You having the Magus himself and the Congregation. The Congregation are of course, the group of hollows. Three different enemies make up the group. Normal undead guys who will walk towards you and try to attack, crawling undead who try to leap onto you. Lastly the priests, they can shot fast projectiles at you and can heal the other mobs around them... they are probably the most annoying thing in the fight. Prowling Magus himself is a joke. He has no health and really isn't a threat during the fight. The orb he shoots is way slower than the priest's projectiles. If you happen to run by him, he can perform an AOE which could be annoying. There are benches in the arena to help with crowd control, because you know by some chance, you're going to get swarmed and die. I focus on taking out the priests first because they are the only real threat here. The ankle biting hollows are also annoying cause they are really low on the ground and might be hard to hit with certain weapons and could stun-lock you into getting attack by a off-hand projectile. Then I take out the normal hollow guys. Magus is last and he dies in 6 seconds... some super strong warlock you are.

Prowling Magus and Congregation is a really bad boss and considered to be one of the worst bosses in DS2. His placement inside of the world is just awkward and you don't expect a boss to be there. It's not even a fun fight either. I've been killing these mobs throughout the game. Why do I need them as a boss? Giving these guys some credit, they are harder than Najka and the Covetous Demon.
