I am a huge Eurovision nerd, I always look foward to it for months and it's the only thing on TV I watch anymore. But now that Eurovision 2020 has been understandably cancelled due to the global pandemic, many Eurovision fans are severely disappointed, including me. One thing Eurovision fans love to do is make their own personal rankings and share it with other fans. So I thought, why not attempt to do this on scrap.tf? I haven't listened to most of the songs yet, but I will review them all and slowly build up my personal top 41. I will leave polls where you can also rate these songs, and I will take the average grade from each of these polls to build scrap.tf's ranking. If this goes well, I might rank other years with you guys as well.

Jeangu Macrooy - Grow


Review: After we won Eurovision last year, it seems like we're going with an emotionally charged song again. While our song last year had an attention grabbing beginning with explosions of high emotion throughout, this song is more of a slow burner that slowly builds up. And I don't think I like it all that much. It is incredibly slow, it probably wouldn't have worked on stage, as a lot of people (including me) would be asleep by the time it reached it's climax. This song seems to be about his struggles with getting older, and begging us not to be offended by his outbursts. I do not feel sorry for him in this song, he sounds like an asshole tbh. Maybe that's just because I'm not old enough yet and I can't relate. Credit where credit is due, Jeangu has a great voice and the build up eventually becomes good and the climax is pretty damn good, but it is way too short and ends very abruptly.
