Hello

I made it. I am home again. The way back home was a lot more relaxed and less tressful than my way towards Poland. Let me recap: It took me 11 hours to get ~950km covered. I had a huge jam near Berlin where there was a lot of EMS involved, two very huge tow trucks were there too. The accident happened in a roadwork section so it was a very, very slow progress. Starting at 6:30 was a great idea on paper,  but because of the Berlin jam I got caught in the evening rush hour around Poznan. It took me nearly one hour to make 1 km on the highway so I decided I should try my luck in Poznan itself. I never drove in a multi-lane city before so this was... interesting, to say the least. Like that roundabout with traffic lights where it was 4 street lanes and the roundabout only had 3?! Everyone was driving like a maniac, I had no idea where my satnav would lead me and I could hear the car scream in pain every time I hit a pothole. It was also quite interesting to see that everyone drove at least 110 on a two lane B-road, lorries nearly at 100 despite the traffic signs reading 70.

The way back home was near jam-free and I had free road very often which meant I could floor it. Rain here and there, but no big deal.

One day military passed through for around 30 minutes, looked interesting. Probably Pioneers returning from a military excercise.

The Funeral was... well, what do you say here? I don't know. I saw people I thought I'd never see again, like my uncle who lives 6 hours away. Not to mention a lot of people attended. Even the store owner of the little village my grandparents had their farm in (remember, I told you my granddad and me would ride the long way by bike every day to get ice cream) attended. I asked her why she came as well and I learned that my grandpa helped her out both times her parents passed away. You see, in a small village like theirs the church can't pick up the coffin when someone passed away. He offered to take the coffins to the church with this tractor (an old Ursus C 360 3P)and trailer. I didn't know he did that but maybe that explains why not only her but also so many other people thought so highly of him.
It's so weird in the flat now without him. The TV used to run all day and now it's never been on. His comfy and big armchair is still there, his watch is in the same place it always used to be in. I am no longer waking up by his snoring, his hat still hangs on the wall where it always hang unless he was outside. Everything is... unchanged. I caught myself more than once expecting him to open the door and smile at me while swaying a bag of ice cream for us to eat.
I guess I just need some more time...
