Amygdala is a weird boss. Not to say that any of the other bosses in this game aren't weird, this is just one weirdo. Amygdala looks like a giant spider with long arms, tiny legs, and a head covered in eyes. The difficulty for this fight is random most of the time. It could be really easy or really hard. Most of the Amygdala's attack involves swinging it's long ass arms. During these attacks, the Amygdala will lower it's head to the ground where you can do the most damage to it. Hitting the arms does a decent amount of damage but not enough. Don't even bother attacking the legs because it'll do no damage. Besides swinging arms, it can also shoot a laser from it's head with isn't too hard to avoid. Also a second phase where it'll rip off two of it's arms to give itself extra range, similar to the Last Giant. I forget about this boss most of the time because going through the traditional FromSoft poison swamp area is never fun. Yeah thanks Patches for bringing me here with your stupid rock. You can also find this boss in Chalice Dungeons. Trust me, the Defiled version of the Amygdala is a pain in the ass. Dying in one hit is not fun. As for lore, the Amygdala is one of the most revered Great Ones. Evidence being that there are statues of the thing everywhere throughout the Cathedral Ward and the Unseen Village. The Amygdala are actually all around you in these areas as well. You can't see them at first, but if you have enough Insight or after defeating Rom, they are hanging out all along buildings and such. Two of them can take you to certain places while others are just a stage hazard shooting lasers. The OST is pretty good like always. I don't have much to say on it because I forget to fight Amygdala like 70% of the time. Just know that it's a solid track.
