Can someone pls explain this (Stardew Valley)

If you don´t play Stardew Valley you can just take my items and move on.

I somehow managed to get Abigail to dance with me in the flower dance in the first year.
I thought you could only ask Shane or Haley, scince their birthdays are before the 24.
Did they realise it was stupid and changed it or is it just a glitch?
