True King Allant

King Allant XII was once a magnanimous and beloved ruler who cared deeply for his subjects and fought valiantly against the demons remaining from the First Scourge. In his old age, Allant began to grow melancholy. Seeking greater power for himself and his kingdom, Allant found the Nexus and the long-forgotten soul arts. Allant left the Nexus with knowledge of the soul arts, and ushered in an age of unprecedented prosperity for Boletaria. Allant still was unhappy. He eventually grew to believe that the only way to end the pain and suffering in the world was to end the world all together. He took up the demonic blade Soulbrandt, and returned to the Nexus and awoke the Old One. The Old One was to end all of humanity by feasting on their souls, beginning the Second Scourge. Allant retreated deep within the Old One, his great power having mutated him into a bloated abomination of flesh, even unable to stand up. He fashioned a demon in his own likeness, the False King, and set it to lead the demon armies to victory in Boletaria. The True King Allant is the final boss of the game technically. The boss you fought previously, the False King, is a much greater challenge than the True King. In all honesty, the True King might be one of the easiest bosses in any of these Souls game. Even easier than Pinwheel. Since this Allant is just a weird blobby thing, he can't do much to attack you. All he can do are very weak flopping attacks that don't have much range. It's very easy just to keep attacking him and then wait for your stamina to rebuild to just keep attacking him. You really shouldn't have trouble with this fight at all. After killing him, you can retrieve Soulbrandt from his corpse and you get to chose your ending for the game. Do you let the Maiden in Black lull the Old One back to sleep and stop the Scourge? Or... do you kill her at the last second, succumbing to your hunger for souls and destroying the world, just like Allant. It's up to you.

True King Allant may have gone a bit far with seeking more power. He probably had good intentions in mind, it's just the outcome was far more horrible than he really intended it to be. The True King form doesn't really put up much of a fight, but how can he? The False King fight before him was a great enough challenge on it's own. Knowing that it was a false image of the real King after the fight makes you question what he is now. Seeing his true form shows you what having too much lust for power can do to someone. The True King is the easiest fight in the game btw.
