Uncrating and luck

My lucks awful in tf2. mainly in uncrating. But in real life, its thru the roof. Why is that?
Uncrating an unusual is my dream, but i cant seem to make that happen no matter how much money I through at valve. Anyways, i have asked myself the same question over and over again: Is it worth it?
