TF2 CYOA #9

“I think helping you sounds best,” you say.
The engineer grins, “excellent! I could use all the help I can get!”
You somehow expect the engineer’s job isn’t particularly difficult, and he’s more interested in the company. He leads you to the cart that the pyro is currently in. “Next stop is at one of the trade servers. We have to pick up a delivery, so expect to do some heavy lifting. The pyro nods and you do as well.
You take the extra time to refill your ammo and allow the cozy camper to replenish you to full health.
Finally, you arrive at the trade server. You’ve seen one before, but it has been awhile, and you’re eager to see what they are like now. You know that there can be as many as 200 people in one of these at once now, but even the most crowded one only holds about eighty mercenaries. You quickly recognize the one you have arrived at by the giant wooden statue of a familiar fez. Each of the screws holding it in is a different color to commemorate the nuts and bolts effect associated with this player. The true saharan spy, as some call him.
Other than the statue, the map is fairly plain, with comfortable chairs around it. There are a few doorways leading to other various places, but there are plenty of people sitting in this main “lobby” area. There is also a little boxing ring, but it seems old, tattered, and unused. Suddenly, a spy aggressively hops in front of you, thrusting a weapon in your face.
“Hello! How would you like a nice, strange cleaner’s carbine? Only a few ref! Or a watch? Cloak and Dagger? Eh? It’s only a scra-” the engineers pushes the spy out of the way.
“Watch it. We’re busy. He’s working with me.”
“Ah, you know I don’t get many customers, you have to let me-”
“Later. We have to pick this up now, then maybe you can do some trading.”
He nods, and then you, the pyro, and the engineer walk to one of the doors. You enter a small room with incredibly fancy decorations. You quickly realize that it mimics the spy’s smoking room from the SFM. There are four small glass chambers that you realize are for… spycrabbing? Huh. You’d heard of it before. Although, given how difficult it was to change classes now, most people resorted to rock, paper, scissors or heavy boxing for gambling.
You are directed to a chair and sit there with the pyro. The engineer whistles and suddenly, a spy materializes right next to you. Your jaw drops. Sure, it’s only nuts and bolts. But it is the first unusual you have ever seen! It’s magnificent! You can’t help but stare.
You snap out of it as the true saharan spy points at a large crate in the corner of the room. It’s not a mann co. supply crate, just a standard issue tradings storage container. “I have a trade to make with the unusual brothers. I wanted you to deliver it. It’s just a few weapons, crates, things along those lines. However, as always, I’d like to send a few of my mercenaries with you to make sure it arrives safely. Just four gentlemen that are going to that server anyways. Although, I’d give you each a scrap if you simply carry it out.” You quickly nod. That sounds worth it.
You and the pyro are given a scrap, and then lug the cumbersome container onto the train. As you put it down, you see two scouts, a heavy, and a soldier chatting. You are about to talk to them, when the spy that wanted to trade earlier approaches you. “Hello, friend! How about a trade?”
A Trade.
