Ranking SSBU Stages On Their Original Locations - Introduction

There's a lot of fun to be had with the vast amount of stages in Ultimate, both in playing on them as well as the neat little details added to bring out the charm of the series they represent... it's a shame that anything that isn't a flat, floating stage with platforms is basically avoided like the plague by most players, myself included . So how about we give them the love they deserve?

Similar to when I ranked the SSBU fighters based solely on how much I love their original games, I'll be ranking the stages of SSBU on how well they represent their original locations. To better explain how the stages will be ranked, the criteria is as follows -

( How accurate the stage layout mimics the location in its original game )
The closer the stage manages to recreate the location it's based on, the better. Basically any stage that isn't just a copy-paste of Final Destination / Battlefield will do well .

( How well the stage matches its original game's aesthetic )
While some retro stages keep their pixelated visuals and sound effects (75m and Duck Hunt), most are reimagined with new graphics, so stages that get the HD treatment but still feel like they perfectly capture the aesthetic feel of their original game will rank high here.

( How significant the stage is in respect to its original game )
This one could be a bit subjective, but this category basically boils down to how impactful a stage's original location is on both the player and the game's story / characters. Stages based on the hub world or an important level of a game should do well.

BONUS : Easter eggs and miscellaneous details)
This one's basically extra credit. Any bonus details that a stage adds on top of everything else covered from above will fall in this category. What qualifies for this category will vary, but things such as character cameos or references to events of a game will fall here; essentially anything that feels like it goes beyond the "bare minimum" will count. This will mainly just be used to bump a stage up a tier if they're held back by one minor drawback.

I'll try to do one stage every few days / weeks, starting in the order that they appear in the stage selection. So the first stage covered will be Peach's Castle!
