I've had an interesting encounter today

I'm still working at the county's office to have a look at their side of the line of work I do. I'm going there by car and today someone I saw several times before noticed me and my car when I turned into the parking garage. When lunchtime rolled around and most of us sat in the break room he burst out with this question: Is this really your car? I said yea, why do you ask? He went on about how the young adults and many more people only really care about new cars and don't really appreciate the older ones. He respected me to have such good taste and wanted to know if I really owned it.
I told him: I prefer older cars over newer ones, for many reasons. I like the more direct feel, not too much of power steering, not many electronic assists, a engine that you can actually hear and this boxier and shaped look. Those kind of cars make me feel special. It's a joy to drive them, they put a smile on my face. Sure, it's nice to have a new M4 in your garage, but nothing beats this flair and this aura. Driving them, owning them, fixing them, it's not a chore, it doesn't feel dull. You feel alive, it makes you happy to push it and hear the engine roar, little squeaking and vibrating noises, it all feels so natural. I don't have any electronic assists other than ABS, no traction control, no lane change warning, distance warning or any other unnecessary things. Those things are unnecessary because well, where's the point in driving one of these? The car does everything for you - wait hold on, you're driving too close to the car in front, you crossed the line for a second what the hell are you doing, hey lazy man I can park myself in and so on and so forth. That's not driving a car for me. When I drive with my car I know what's going on, I can feel it, and in a way I just love to see people's eyes get big when they see me drive around in it. With the money I had I could've bought so many newer, more stuffed cars, but why not buy something I really desire and enjoy? I've been a fan of the 5 cylinder engines for so many years and this car is a little dream come true for me. Sure, it's got no turbo, sure it's a 4 speed auto, but damn, it's a 5 cylinder cruiser, it's MY cruiser and I love it. In fact, I want to get a second car, an estate this time, but no Mercedes.
I then showed him this picture, he smiled at me and nodded.
